Immanuel Christian Reformed Church is pleased to welcome Ajay Kumar as a pastoral intern with a particular emphasis on evangelism.
Ajay comes from Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church in Dehradun, India. He is married to his wife, Sandhya, and together they have two sons, Prakash and Joshua, and are joyfully expecting their third child.
He earned his Bachelor of Theology in 2020 from Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Dehradun, India. During his theological training and subsequent ministry, Ajay served as a deacon and assisted in various pastoral responsibilities. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching, regularly instructing both young adults and adults in the Westminster Shorter Catechism and the Heidelberg Catechism.
Ajay’s ministry interests include evangelism, church planting, outreach, and pastoral care. In addition to his church work, he has also served as a middle school teacher, teaching English and Social Studies.
His personal testimony reflects the transforming grace of God. Converted to faith in Jesus Christ in 2010 from a pluralistic religious background, Ajay experienced both the cost and the calling of discipleship. Despite significant personal hardship, the Lord has faithfully sustained him and cultivated in him a deep desire for gospel ministry.
In 2025, Ajay and his family enrolled at Mid-America Reformed Seminary, where he is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity in preparation for pastoral ministry.
We thank God for bringing Ajay and his family to Immanuel and look forward to their service among us for the strengthening of the church and the advancement of the gospel.
